This is the first of three messages by Dave Shackelford, entitled "God Uses Ordinary People."
Dave is a husband, father and chaplain. He is passionate about teaching, influencing leaders and caring for people. He served as an associate pastor and a nonprofit leader for more than 30 years. He graduated from Biola University (‘78) and Talbot Theological Seminary (’83), where he earned a B.S. in Christian Education and a M.Div. in Bible Exposition.
Dave and his wife Kerry live in Clovis and worship at The Well Community Church.
Our Missionary at Large, Oren Teel, brought a message of encouragement, the second of to sermons in preparation for celebration of Communion.
Alan Garrison shared his life testimony with us. The scripture, 1 John 3:1-3, was read by Terri Ann Sandridge. Oren presented some thoughts regarding the need for reconciliation among the brothers and sisters before we celebrate the Lord's Supper next week.
